Drunk Driver Nabbed After Parking In Middle Of Entrance Ramp In Northern Westchester: Police

A Hudson Valley woman faces drunk driving charges after authorities found her parked in the middle of an entrance ramp to the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester, police said.

Bosques-Walker was allegedly found stopped in the middle of an entrance ramp leading from Route 134 to the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, police said.

The arrest stemmed from an incident on Saturday, Sept. 2 just before 11 p.m., when Yorktown Police responded to a reported erratic driver on Route 134 near the entrance and exit ramps to the Taconic State Parkway.

According to Yorktown Police, arriving officers soon found a vehicle stopped in the middle of the lane on the entrance ramp between Route 134 and the Taconic State Parkway.

Police then identified the driver as 44-year-old Dutchess County resident Brenda Bosques-Walker of Hopewell Junction and found that she had been driving while allegedly under the influence of alcohol, authorities said.

Bosques-Walker was then arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated and taken to police headquarters, where her blood-alcohol content was allegedly found to be over .18 percent, according to Yorktown Police.

She will appear in court on Thursday, Sept. 14.
